Privacy notice
This notice explains which personal data is processed when you visit jlfwatches.com, and why. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
Jean-Louis Fantino and Gianmarco Fantino are responsible for this website. You can reach us at jlf@jlfwatches.com; our postal address is in the legal notice.
What this website does not do
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking, advertising or social media plugins. It has no forms and keeps no data about you in your browser. Everything on it, the typeface, images and film included, is delivered from jlfwatches.com; your browser loads nothing from other websites.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States, which delivers it through data centres around the world. To deliver the pages and protect them from misuse, Vercel automatically processes technical data for every request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring address and your browser's identification (user agent). We do not use this data to identify you or combine it with other data. The request logs in our Vercel account are kept for one day.
Vercel Inc. has self-certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and is listed as an active participant at dataprivacyframework.gov. The European Commission and the Swiss Federal Council recognise these frameworks as providing adequate data protection for participating companies. Vercel processes the data on our behalf under its data processing addendum, which forms part of our hosting contract.
Where the GDPR applies, this processing rests on our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you write to us by e-mail, we use your address and your message only to answer you, and keep them no longer than this and legal retention duties require. Our e-mail is handled by Hostpoint AG in Switzerland.
Your rights
You may ask at any time which personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Where the GDPR applies, you may also restrict or object to its processing and receive it in a portable format. Write to jlf@jlfwatches.com. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or to a data protection authority in the EU.
Security
The website is delivered only over encrypted connections (HTTPS with HSTS) and under strict browser security policies.
Changes
We update this notice when the way we process personal data changes.
